The Grama Panchayat Level Traffic Regulatory Committee is a coordinating committee formed with representatives from various departments to effectively manage traffic control, road safety, and traffic regulation within the Grama Panchayat area. 

The committee functions under the supervision of the District Traffic Regulatory Committee. The Grama Panchayat President is the Chairman, and the officer nominated by the District Police Chief is the Convener.

  • โœ… Coordinate with concerned departments regarding road signs, traffic control systems, and safety arrangements.
  • โœ… Coordinate activities to ensure a safe and smooth transportation system for the public and vehicle users.
  • โœ… Support the implementation of the policies and directions of the District Traffic Regulatory Committee at the local level.

The committee undertakes activities to ensure a safe and smooth transportation system through coordination among the public, vehicle users, various government departments, police authorities, and the Public Works Department (PWD). 

Special importance is given to road safety, accident prevention, traffic control, parking arrangements, and public awareness, thereby supporting the overall development of the Panchayat.
